On Saturday morning we woke up in need of a good brunch before heading up to Big White for the day. Instead of going out for $8 mimosas we decided to make own. So Karrie went out to pick up some emergency OJ, and I popped a bottle of sparkling into an ice bucket and got started on the pancakes.
Post-brunch I bundled up in my finest ski gear (which happens to be my snow pants from grade 5 ski lessons) and then headed up the hill.
We met up with some friends and did some very sophisticated 6 person tubing on family channel tubes, had some après-tube drinks & snacks, then skated for a bit before heading back home.
The next day Andrea texted to see if I wanted to go for ramen. My answer was what it should be anytime someone asks if you would like to go for ramen: a resounding YES.
We went to Wasabi Izakaya in downtown Kelowna.
We started with some Okonomiyaki, which is a pan fried cabbage dish that was SO GOOD.
Then had some ebi-chili-mayo tiger prawns.
And then the ramen. Andrea had the TanTan Men and I had the Spicy Yuzu Pepper and both were AMAZING.
Typing up this post is giving me some serious ramen cravings. Fortunately for me (and everybody else in Kelowna) a bowl only costs $8.80 so I foresee a lot of ramen in the near future.
